Summer concert with Peter Piek | 19.06.2025
The sun is shining, the Chemnitz campus is ready for music and a good mood. On 19 June, artist and musician Peter Piek will be performing at Fraunhofer ENAS from 6 to 7 pm, bringing not only his music but also good vibes. The artist uses original sounds from the ENAS laboratories in his music. Look forward to a special summer concert - with emotional depth, artistic diversity and a good dose of Chemnitz charm.

As part of the exhibition series “Science meets Art”, Peter Piek is showing his exhibition “Flugbahn” at Fraunhofer ENAS from April to September. The artist and musician creates a special musical moment for the summer concert: in his compositions, he artistically processes original sounds from the ENAS laboratories and thus makes scientific working environments audible and tangible.

Peter Piek is a multi-talented artist: singer, multi-instrumentalist, painter and author – a true free spirit who consistently develops his art independently. Born in Karl-Marx-Stadt (now Chemnitz), he has made a name for himself internationally, including through tours in Europe, Asia and the USA as well as exhibitions of his paintings and installations worldwide.

His music is a mixture of indie pop, lo-fi rock and singer-songwriter elements – sometimes melancholic and introspective, sometimes energetic and danceable. Peter Piek’s voice is unmistakable, his songs poetic, political and personal at the same time. On stage, he fuses music, art and performance to create an intense experience.
