Robert Verch
Co-initiator and Chairman of the FUNKEN Academy
Robert Verch is the initiator and chairman of the FUNKEN Academy. With a degree in visual communication from the Bauhaus University Weimar, he brings creative thinking to cultural and urban contexts. Since moving to Chemnitz, he has been involved in the intersection of art, urban development and technological history. In 2018, he began his voluntary work on the board of Klub Solitaer e.V. and has also been a full-time member of the association since 2021, specialising in project management and curatorial work. With the FUNKEN Akademie, he pursues aesthetic and poetic reflections on the high-tech identity and industrial past of the city of Chemnitz using artistic means.
