FUNKEN Advent | 02.12.2025 I A noisy christmas
Are you interested in music and like doing handicrafts? Then you've come to the right place. As part of the Maker Advent, sound artist Laura Immler invites you to a special workshop: Together we will solder small synthesisers - and make them sound.

At this Christmas FUNKEN Night, we invite you to join in and help shape the event. In the spirit of the Maker Advent, the creative finale of the Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, you can get active and challenge and encourage both your creativity and your craftsmanship.

Laura Immler, sound artist and recurring guest at the FUNKEN Academy, will provide insights into the world of drones, oscillators and LFOsin the workshop . She will show how a versatile instrument can be created from simple electronic components. Step by step, individual devices will be created, which we will then try out loud, playful and noisy. Everyone is welcome, whether sound artist or curious beginner, the workshop is open to all.

A musical experiment for everyone who is interested in sound, technology and trying things out together. So don’t be shy and experiment together at the FUNKEN Academy!
