In an exciting collaboration between science and art, unique works of art were created in autumn 2025 that merged both worlds. Guided by artists and with the participation of the research clusters at Chemnitz University of Technology, three art-science workshops took place. Mealworm droppings became paintbrushes, artists worked between virtual reality and the physical world, and creativity was reimagined together with physics. As part of Chemnitz 2025 European Capital of Culture, the FUNKEN Academy and the research clusters of Chemnitz University of Technology (MAIN, MERGE and METech) opened their doors for an extraordinary experiment.
