PRESENTATION OF THE SPARK EUROPEAN SUMMER SCHOOL
over the past weeks and months, 30 young international artists have been researching and experimenting together with renowned mentors from the art world in the laboratories of Fraunhofer ENAS and Fraunhofer IWU in a close exchange between art and science.
DNA was folded and mycelium-containing substrate was moulded, information was transformed into virtual data and processed into fine metal structures.
On the afternoon of 13 October 2023, a public presentation at the Technology Campus in Chemnitz provided an opportunity to gain an insight into the preliminary results of the summer school and to engage in dialogue with all participants, after which the artistic works will be finalised and sent on a European exhibition tour in 2024.
